Patents and certifications.
Every Bantam Clean Power product is safety tested and listed to the UL, ANSI, and CSA standards that govern its category. Our conditioning architecture is protected by active United States patents. Both are set out below, in full, with the numbers you need to verify them.
Listed to the standard that governs the product.
Different products answer to different standards, because they belong to different categories of equipment. A listing tells you a product met the requirements written for what it is.
These standards are not tiers, and they do not rank against one another. UL 1449 is the standard for surge protective devices. UL 62368-1 is the safety standard for audio, video, and information and communication technology equipment. Each Bantam product is listed to the standard written for its category, so a different standard on the label does not mean a different level of protection inside the box.

These listings are active and maintained. Our factory production is subject to ongoing inspection by the certifying body, which is what keeps a listing in force rather than merely issued. You do not have to take our word for any of it. Both certifying bodies publish their certifications, and both are free to search.

Not every patent listed applies to every product. This notice is provided for the purposes of patent marking under 35 U.S.C. 287. Additional applications may be pending.
The circuit was proven before most of its competitors existed.
In 2001, during the original UL 1449 Second Edition certification of this circuit, a UL Adjunct endurance test drove a 6,000-volt, 3,000-amp surge into a unit built on it every 45 seconds for 24 continuous hours, while it powered a live electronic load. More than 1,900 events, with no measurable degradation in protection performance.
UL 1449 has been revised through several editions since 2001. That result describes the circuit's original Second Edition certification and the endurance testing performed alongside it. It is not a statement of current listing status. Current listings for each product are stated above.
