Citadel™ Series

The Bantam Clean Power Citadel filters Line, Neutral, and Ground, delivering all the benefits of a bi-directional power conditioner and surge suppressor: harmonic attenuation, power factor correction, EMI/RFI reduction, and power-line emissions (PLE) protection.

Features include:

  • Full-color LCD digital power meter
  • Lab-quality 8/20 microsecond surge counter built in
  • Real-time electrical telemetry: volts, amps, wattage, surge count, power factor, and more
  • Never-fail, non-sacrificial series-mode design with no fans, relays, or switches
  • Flexible desktop, rack, and wall mounting

Choose the RM1440A with a 120 V NEMA 5-15P input cordset, or the RM2880A with a 220-240 V NEMA 6-15P input cordset.

The Citadel by Bantam Clean Power elevates your electronics' performance and protects them from the unknown. Its custom information screen, featuring a lab-quality surge counter, reports on your electrical power environment in real time. The Citadel has eight outlets total: two on the front panel and six on the rear. The 120 V RM1440A adds two IEC 60320 C13 outlets and two supplied IEC-to-NEMA 5-15R adapters, giving you the flexibility to use IEC-only cordsets or power bricks (wall warts) without blocking adjacent outlets.

The Citadel is a three-wire, bi-directional power conditioner and surge suppressor with a color LCD display and multiple mounting options. Like every Bantam product, it delivers professional-grade power conditioning built for the systems your work depends on, not consumer-grade protection for inexpensive electronics.

Why Choose the Citadel™?

  • Patented filtration and conditioning on all three wires (Line, Neutral, and Ground) for complete surge and noise protection.
  • Never-fail, non-sacrificial component design with series-mode surge suppression that does not wear out, switch off, or stop protecting your investment.
  • No moving parts: no fans, no relays, no switches.
  • Suppresses power-line emissions (PLE): unwanted high-frequency signals that ride along power wiring, blocking them bi-directionally so they neither leak off your equipment nor couple onto it from the line.
  • Color LCD display shows surge counter, volts, amps, power (watts), frequency (Hz), and power factor in real time.
  • Does not dump harmful energy to ground the way consumer surge protectors do; the Citadel maintains a stable ground reference that digital equipment depends on.
  • Filters EMI and RFI interference such as noise, hum, and harmful frequencies traveling along business and home power wiring.
  • Provides harmonic attenuation and power factor correction.
  • Flexible mounting: desktop (horizontal or vertical), 19-inch rack (1U), or wall mount.

Performance Metrics

  • Electrical Mode Protection: patented series normal and common mode.
  • Harmonic Attenuation: up to 40% reduction of voltage and current noise up to 30 MHz.
  • Power Factor Correction: up to 30% improvement.
  • Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP): blocks EMP current the same as a surge, protecting Line, Neutral, and Ground paths.
  • Surge Joule Rating: series-mode protection provides unlimited joule rating.
  • Residual Surge: less than 1% of total surge current is allowed to pass through to the protected device.
  • Clamping Voltage (typical, closed circuit): at 120 VAC, +/-10V (Neutral-Ground +/-10V); at 230 VAC, +/-20V (Neutral-Ground +/-20V).
